One year ago...

One year ago today, our lives changed as we know it. Our world was flipped upside down so quick, we weren't sure what to do when you left us. One year ago..it seems like just yesterday! Where does the time go..so much has happened in 2008 that I am glad that it is over. I miss you dad..not a day goes by that I don't think about you or that last week that you were with us & how fast it went. I often think about how scared you must have been going through all of that even though all of us were there for you & you acted so strong through it all. You were always "my daddy" & I was "Daddy's Little Girl" (just ask mommy) even when we had disagreements, I know you always had my best interest at heart...like when I wanted to quit Tech School in 10th grade, I knew I should have stayed there but as a bratty teenager, you let me get my way or when you wouldn't let me get my licence & I went behind your back & did it anyway, I know you were just trying to look out for me and try to stop me from growing up so fast..Our relationship may not have been textbook but it was ours & it was real. I have no regrets..I just wish we could have had more time together. I love you always and you are always in my heart daddy!

Today, I mourn the loss of my furry little friend. She was a good little pal who came to the cage door when I walked to her cage or called her name. Never once did she bite or nibble on anyone. She just loved attention.

New Year's Eve '09'

This year, it was very simple ringing in the New Year..it was Shannon, McKendra, Nikki, Wendy & I, we had some Mexican snacks & drinks and just sat around talking..although we were ready to throw in the towel at about 11pm, we held out until midnight.
I hope everyone had a safe & happy holiday and that everyone's 2009 is much better that 2008!!

Went to the city today and we had and exhausting but great day..a little chilly but the weather couldn't have been better except for there was about a MILLION people up there! It was also so busy at the train station that we had to wait & finally get on the 3rd train to NYC. We got to see alot today, we went to St. Patrick's Cathedral for a little bit of mass, the girls bought lot$ of stuff at Tiffany's, the World of Disney, American Girl, Build-a-Bear, Rockafeller Center, even got to see an Israili protest & sooo much more!! And the best part was that it was decorated for Christmas, which I love!

This is how the table seating was done, my family was at table 1938, it was a bit confusing at first but when I got closer to the table, I finally understood when I saw the pic & started crying! This is the year my grandparent's were married 70 yrs ago.

Baby Bluble'

One of the only things Gyllyan asked for from Santa was a Water Baby ~ although, she told me that she wanted me to buy it not Santa & she was so very excited when she opened it. When I asked her that night before bed what she wanted to name the baby, she told me "What's that guys name who sings Everysing?" and I responded "Michael Buble"

~ Oh Christmas Tree ~

My Christmas tree is finally done being decorated!! After 4 days, it's got all of it's ornaments, bows, candy canes & even the Tirggel ornaments ~ my aunt brought them back for me from her Alpine tour vacation this year. 

(Tirggel are a traditional Christmas cookie from Zurich, Switzerland)

FINALLY..Getting ready for Christmas

My finals are over (I passed) & I have a break for 3 weeks

I had off today so since Gyllyan has been calling me at least 1x a week for the past month, I thought I would take her overnight. We decorated my new Christmas tree (it was a freebie) and then went to Feeney's to see Santa.
